ST. PAULS — The town’s July Fourth celebration has expanded this year and will feature live music as well as the traditional fireworks show.

The event, which will be held behind Lumbee Guaranty Bank off West McLean Street, will begin at 5 p.m. and end with an explosive fireworks show shortly after dark.

It will feature three bands — Through the Night, which will begin playing at 5 p.m., the Great Marsh Band, which will follow, and NC Roots, which will perform last. A disc jockey will provide the tunes in between the bands’ performances.

The St Pauls Volunteer Fire Department will provide the fireworks show as it has done in the past.

Alcoholic beverages will not be permitted.

Parking is available at the Piggly Wiggly.
