Crime report

Kayla Vergara reported to the Lumberton Police Department that she was the victim of an assault on Thursday at a residence on Meadow Road.

Karen Bruce reported to the Lumberton Police Department that someone broke into a residence on East 19th Street, and stole a 55-inch television, an assortment of designer perfume and a digital video recorder. The estimated total value of the items stolen was $6,260.

An employee of House of Quality Pawn Shop on North Elm Street reported to the Lumberton Police Department that someone stole a men’s gold nugget ring, weighing about 15 to 16 grams. The estimated value of the ring was $475.

The owner of Universal Stone Imports Inc. on North Elm Street reported to the Lumberton Police Department that someone attempted to cash a fraudulent check in the amount of $2,000.
