LUMBERTON — A state-mandated training session for treasurers of political organizations has been scheduled for July 18 at the Robeson County Board of Elections office.
The mandatory compliance training will be from 1 to 5 p.m. at the office located at 800 N. Walnut St. in Lumberton. This training is for treasurers of election campaigns and/or the candidates for elected office. Treasurers of political parties and referendum committees also are required to take the training.
Training is required once every four years for all N.C. treasurers, including those under the $1,000 threshold.
To register for a training session, go online to http://www.ncsbe.gov/Campaign-Finance/training. Email a request to firstname.lastname@example.org. A trainer will contact the interested person to schedule a session.
Political Action Committees and independent expenditure committees should visit www.ncsbe.gov/Campaign-Finance/training for their specialized schedule.
