LUMBERTON — For the second time in a week a Maxton residence has been searched and arrests made on narcotics-related charges.

The Robeson County Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes Task Force searched the residence at 496 Sherill Road on Thursday and arrested Glenn Clark and Penny Hunt, according to information from the Sheriff’s Office. The same residence was searched on July 12 and Bobby Locklear, 30, of Sherill Road, was arrested and charged with felony possession of cocaine.

Clark was arrested and charged with maintaining a drug dwelling, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, trafficking opium, conspiring to sell or deliver marijuana, conspiring to traffic opium, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana paraphernalia. Clark was taken to the Robeson County Detention Center and placed under a $1 million secure bond.

Hunt, 39, of Sherill Road, was arrested and charged with maintaining a drug dwelling, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, trafficking opium, conspiring to sell or deliver marijuana, conspiring to traffic opium, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana paraphernalia. Her bond was $50,000 unsecured.

The U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives assisted with the investigation. Drugs were seized as a result of both searches.
