Search on for teen accused in early morning murder

LUMBERTON — The Robeson County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a teenager who lawmen say shot and killed a man early this morning.

According to the department’s Facebook page, Zyquis Rhaheim Lewis-Mcnair should be considered armed and dangerous and anyone who comes into contact with him should call 911 or the Sheriff’s Office at 910-671-3100.

Lewis-McNair, 19, is from the St. Pauls area, but no specific address for him was available. He is charged with first degree-murder, possession of firearm by felon, and discharging weapon into an occupied vehicle.

According to the Facebook information, deputies answered a call at 12:43 a.m. on the 9800 block of Rennert Road, Shannon, concerning a person being shot. They found Jessie Locklear, 26, of Liberty Park Road, injured and unresponsive inside a vehicle. It appeared he had been shot, and lawmen say the shooting took place in the parking lot of 12300 Rennert Road, Shannon.

The Facebook page said Lewis-McNair is charged with Locklear’s murder.
