State seeks early voting comments

RALEIGH — State residents have the opportunity to post comments about one-stop early voting plans for the Nov. 6 general election.

The Bipartisan State Board of Elections and Ethics Enforcement plans to meet in early August to consider plans for county board of elections that weren’t able to agree unanimously on plans. Robeson is one among 16 counties in which plans were not unanimously approved.

The online comment period runs through Aug. 2. State board staff will compile the comments and submit them to state board members in advance of their August meeting.

The other counties that had not submitted one or more non-unanimous plans for consideration by the state board as of Monday were Brunswick, Buncombe, Dare, Durham, Gaston, Gates, Henderson, Lincoln, Northampton, Orange, Pender, Pitt, Randolph, Rockingham and Wake.
