LUMBERTON —The Boys & Girls Club of Robeson County will hold its 13th annual duck race fundraiser on July 25.

The event will be held in Stephens Park on Riverside Drive from 3 to 6 p.m. and will include free hot dogs and beverages, live music, corn hole, a Lumberton Fire Department firetruck and fire dog, ice cream and funnel cake vendors and a bounce house, finger painting and face painting.

Individuals can adopt a duck for $20, with proceeds benefiting the Boys & Girls Club. The winner of that race, which begins at 4:30 p.m., will claim $2,000 if present and $1,000 if absent. The cash prize is provided by Farm Bureau.

This year’s event will include an additional race for team and business sponsors featuring 10-inch ducks. Sponsorship levels begin at $500 per duck, $1,000 for two ducks and $1,500 for three. The business sponsor race begins at 5 p.m.
