FAIRMONT —Two teenagers are among four people who have been arrested and charged in connection to the armed robbery in September of the Dollar General store, according to the police chief.

Arrested were Fairmont residents Alex Dakota Jacobs, 19, and Corbin Hunt, 26; Lumberton resident Luquan Montre Carter, 17; and Christie Carter Gomez, 44, according to Chief Jon Edwards. No address was given for Gomez.

Jacobs, Hunt and Carter each was charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon, second-degree kidnapping, and conspiracy to commit second-degree kidnapping. Jacobs and Hunt were placed in the county jail under a $100,000 bond. Carter’s bond was set at $10,000.

Gomez was charged with accessory after the fact to robbery with a dangerous weapon and accessory after the fact to second-degree kidnapping. Her bond was set at $10,000.

About 8 p.m. on Sept. 24, two masked individuals entered the Dollar General at 118 N. Walnut St., according to Edwards. One robber produced a handgun and demanded money from the clerks on duty. The other robber placed the money from the register inside a backpack he was carrying. The robbers then left the store on foot.

During the course of the investigation names of possible suspects were learned, according to Edwards. Subsequent interviews led to charges being brought against the four people who were arrested.
