RALEIGH — A public hearing will take place Wednesday to receive comments on proposed rules regarding the implementation of North Carolina’s new voter identification requirement.

The State Board of Elections staff will be the host to the hearing to be held at 1 p.m. in the boardroom at the office of the State Board of Elections on the third floor of the Dobbs Building, 430 N. Salisbury St. in Raleigh.

Comments will be limited to subject matter related to the proposed rules.

A sign-up sheet for speakers will be available at the State Board office on a first-come, first-served basis beginning at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Members of the public who wish to comment on the proposed rules may do so in the following ways:

— Attend the Wednesday hearing in person.

— Comment by Friday using the online portal https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdSLo05XyzLf9Zt7G-tbRUwlwxqG-KbJXURz8v1-4m-wAquXA/viewform.

— Email comments by Friday to [email protected].
