LUMBERTON — Communities In Schools of Robeson County has postponed its fundraising event because of COVID-19 concerns.

The event, which was scheduled to take place on Thursday, will be rescheduled to a later date.

The celebration, planned at the home of David and Kathy Edge, will honor all previously purchased tickets and sponsor packages.

“We will reschedule as quickly as the governor lifts the state of emergency currently being enforced to protect the citizens of North Carolina from the deadly corona virus, “ said Dencie Lambdin, executive director of CIS.
