MAXTON — A 43-year-old Rowland man died Sunday evening in a single-vehicle accident on N.C. 83 near Gaddy’s Mill Road.

Timothy Ryan Brayboy, of 2539 Cabinet Shop Road, died about 8:20 p.m. after his 2014 Harley Davidson FLHXS Street Glide motorcycle, traveling north on N.C. 83, exited the right side of the road and overturned in a field, said Sgt. James McVicker, with the N.C. State Highway Patrol.

Brayboy was thrown from the motorcycle and pronounced dead at the scene, McVicker said.

The crash is under investigation by the State Highway Patrol, he said.

“Speed was a causative factor of the collision,” McVicker said.
