LUMBERTON — The Board of Education for the Public Schools of Robeson County is among five governing boards scheduled to meet next week.

Robeson County commissioners

On Monday, the Robeson County Board of Commissioners are scheduled to meet at 9 a.m. in the commissioners’ meeting room on the first floor of the Robeson County Administration Center, located at 550 N. Chestnut St. in Lumberton.

On the agenda are public hearings as well as presentations from Chad Deese, the county director of Communications; Tate Johnson, the executive director of Lumber River United Way; and Deautise Mitchell, a Community Service Block Grant intake specialist.

Commissioners will also consider a Volkswagen Settlement Program and the Voting Delegate for the Legislative Goals Conference.

Later that evening, the Pembroke Town Council will meet in the meeting chambers at Town Hall, located at 100 Union Chapel Road. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m.

Rowland commissioners

The Rowland Board of Commissioners are scheduled to confer on Tuesday at 6 p.m. The meeting will take place at Town Hall, located at 202 W. Main St.

PSRC Board of Education

The Board of Education for the Public Schools of Robeson County will meet on a new date at 6 p.m. on Thursday. at the PSRC Central Office. The meeting can be accessed virtually through the link: https://youtu.be/o2LYpJgSZXU.
