“It’s always the perfect time to pay it forward,” several members of the Spring 2022 Line, 4 X 4 Perfect Timing, of the Lumberton Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. said as they presented the RCC Foundation with a check for $500 to fund the 4×4 Perfect Timing Scholarship.

This was the second donation made towards the scholarship, which provides funding for one female student who may need assistance to continue in a program of study.

“We hope this scholarship will help assist students who are seeking to further their education,” sorority members Gabrielle Blue, Sonia K. Lawson, and Heather Seibles said in a joint statement.

The members of the sorority established this scholarship to support students seeking higher education. In 2023, Jacquelyn Denise Hill was named the first recipient of the scholarship.

“It feels good to give back and to help others,” the sorority sisters said. “We love giving back and look forward to continuing this effort in the future.”
