Robeson County Farmers Market Closing Week: The Farmers Market closes Nov. 30 and re-opens in May 2025. All of the produce is grown in Robeson County, NC or within 100 miles. Any product sold in the car market CSA is grown, raised, and made in our great state of North Carolina. The Farmers Market is open each Wednesday from 3–6 p.m. and each Saturday from 7 a.m. to noon. Vendors have fresh-from-the-farm produce. Other items, such as eggs, proteins, local honey, crafts, and seasonal plants, are available when possible.
Lumbeeland: The Hidden Beauty of Swamps 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m., Nov. 27: Red Springs ArtSpace is hosting an art exhibition, “Lumbeeland: The Hidden Beauty of Swamps,” a regional juried exhibition that showcases a vital geographic element intricately woven into local history and folklore: swamps. The Lumbee River and its surrounding swamps have been integral to the geography, culture, and historical narrative of the Lumbee Indians, a Native American tribe in North Carolina.
Regular hours of operation for the gallery are Wednesdays – 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m., Sundays – 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m., and by appointment only November 28, 29 & 30.
“A Christmas Carol, the Musical” – PDP, 7:30 p.m. Nov. 29:
Scrooge is back in Lumberton! Purple Door Productions presents a new tradition for Robeson County audiences with this classic tale of love, family and redemption set to traditional period music and carols. A very favorite ghost story returns as Purple Door Productions presents “A CHRISTMAS CAROL, the Musical.” Tickets may be purchased by calling the PDP studio or online at https://purpledoorproductions.ludus.com/200467520.
Turkey Trot – 5k, 1Mile Fun Run, 8 a.m., Nov. 28: Everyone is welcome to join the Robeson Road Runners at the Dick Taylor Plaza in Downtown Historic Lumberton for the Turkey Trot, a 5k and 1mile fun run. Burn some calories before indulging in the delicious foods of the day.
Hurricane Helene Relief Concert, 6 p.m. Nov. 30: Robeson Community College is hosting 4Points North and The United Worship Band, a benefit concert for the Disaster Response North Carolina Baptist on Mission organization. Entry to the concert is free, but donations are accepted. One hundred percent of the proceeds will go to NC Baptist on Missions fund in support of the rebuilding and recovery of Western North Carolina counties after Hurricane Helene. Doors open at 5 p.m., and the music begins at 6 p.m.
Lumberton Horse and Tack Auction, 7 p.m. Dec. 2: The Horse and Tack Auction is scheduled for the first Monday night of each month. Mark your calendars for the recurring event. All events are held at the Southeastern NC Agricultural Events Center in Robeson County.
Members Holiday Choice Exhibition – RAG, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 3 and Dec. 5: The Robeson Art Guild is opening a Members Holiday Choice Exhibition at the Guild House. The Members Holiday Market opens at the same time, so visit the Guild House, vote for your favorite entry in the exhibition and shop the marketplace for holiday gifts. The Guild House is open to the public on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and other times by appointment.
Holiday Extravaganza – GPAC, 7:30 p.m. Dec. 5: The Holiday Extravaganza is a showcase of the university’s faculty, staff, and student musicians performing popular holiday classics. This family-friendly event also features a fun sing-along of well-known Christmas carols.
Cowboy Mounted Shooting, 9 a.m. Dec. 6: Join the event at the Southeastern NC Agricultural Center as a competitor or observer. Times of events vary. Call 540-570-8785 for more information.
Holiday Bazaar – UNCP, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Dec. 6: The Museum of the Southeast American Indian presents a Holiday Bazaar featuring authentic native-made gifts. The bazaar features over 20 vendors, festive food and holiday music. Entry is free.
The Wonder of the Nativity, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Dec. 6: The Wonder of the Nativity, a community gift by Chestnut Street United Methodist Church, is a display of approximately 25 nativity sets, loaned by members of our community and friends, for viewing in the sanctuary of the church. Admission is FREE. The Sweet Shoppe, adjacent to the sanctuary, is open for purchasing home-baked sweets sold by the pound. Plan to attend this seasonal wonder.
Golf Cart Parade, 4:30 p.m. Dec. 6: The Lumberton Police Department presents the first annual Golf Cart Parade. Decorated golf carts will parade from Biggs Park Mall on Elm Street to the Dick Taylor Plaza for the City of Lumberton Tree Lighting Ceremony.
Call Sgt. Jordan Campbell at 910-736-3085 to pre-register a cart. Donate one new unwrapped toy for Western, NC. All toys collected will be donated to the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Department office for distribution.
Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony, 6 p.m to 8 p.m., Dec. 6: The city of Lumberton is hosting the annual tree lighting ceremony in Dick Taylor Plaza. Contact Gidget Vickers at (317) 518 2980 for more information.
Warmth of Winter, 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m., Dec. 6: The Robeson County Arts Council is hosting its annual “Warmth of Winter” holiday shopping event.
From pottery to jewelry and paintings to ornaments, we have something that will be perfect under or on the tree! Find it with some of Robeson County’s finest artists.
This event coincides with the Robeson County Christmas Show and the Lumberton Tree Lighting ceremony.
Jingle Bell Jog 8:00 a.m. Dec. 7: The Robeson Road Runners are hosting a 5K and Fun Run & Walk, and all proceeds benefit victim support services. Registration is $20 and includes a shirt. Participants are encouraged to wear Christmas attire. Registration is at 7:00 a.m., and the run begins at 8:00 a.m. Early registration is encouraged by visiting runsignup.com/Race/NC/Lumberton/JingleBellJogRunWalk.

Open Mic Night at 219 Elm: 7–9:30 p.m. each Thursday, at Legal Grounds Coffee Shop, 219 Elm presents Open Mic Night. Add your name to the “15 Minutes on Stage” roster in conjunction with special guests featured for your entertainment. Special guests rotate, but the log for getting your “15 Minutes on Stage” remains open. (some restrictions apply). Enjoy an evening out with the fun at 219 Elm on Thursday nights.
Game Night – 219 Elm: Join the fun 6–9 p.m. each Tuesday Night at 219 Elm St., Lumberton, for Game Night at 219 Elm. Refreshments are available in the Legal Grounds Coffee shop. Bring your games, or select from the collection available in-house. Bring the family and enjoy an outing.
Farmers Market: Open 3–6 p.m. Wednesdays, the Robeson County Farmers Market showcases vegetables grown in Robeson County only. Local craft vendors are welcome as an addition to the MarMarketisit with the local farmers and get to know them. The market is open every Wednesday from 7 a.m. to noon on each Saturday or until the vendors sell out — through November.

Flock Swap – Robeson Co. Farmers Market: The Farmers Market will host a Flock Swap from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. every third Saturday of the month.
