LUMBERTON — North Carolina Department of Transportation officials say they do not know when Interstate 95 will be open through Lumberton.

DOT spokesperson Peggy Beach said the agency is working around the clock to reopen I-95 but no specific time and date are available.

As of Saturday evening, NCDOT’s website showed all northbound I-95 traffic is required to exit onto US-74 West at Exit 13 and travel westbound towards Laurinburg. Once on US-74 continue westbound until reaching Exit 183, US-401 North. Follow US 401 North to NC-162 East. Follow NC-162 East until reaching I-95 Business/US 301 North. Follow I-95 Business/US-301 North back to I-95 North at Exit 56.

More information on detours and road closures can be found at ncdot.gov or by dialing 511.
