LUMBERTON — The Robeson County Board of Commissioners will be considering Monday conditional-use permit requests that would allow for the establishment of a mobile home park and a solar farm.
Carolyn Robinson wants to establish a mobile home park on 24 acres she owns on Wiregrass Road in Smyrna. The property is is located in a Residential Agricultural District.
The Robeson County Planning Board is recommending that the conditional-use permit be granted.
The conditional-use permit that would allow for the establishment of a solar farm on 40 acres of a 79.76-acre tract on Wiregrass Road in Smyrna is being requested by Jersey Holdings LLC. The property, owned by James Ryan Taylor and Faye Huggins Taylor, and Sally Wilkerson Rice, is located in a Residential Agricultural District.
The Robeson County Planning Board is recommending the conditional-use permit be granted.
In other business, the commissioners on Monday are expected to:
— Hear a presentation from Greg Cummings, the county’s economic developer and industrial recruiter, that introduces the new industrial economic development marketing portfolio.
— To consider passing a resolution to adopt the Robeson County Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan.
— Consider a contract with the St. Pauls Library.
The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. in the commissioners’ room at the county administration building on North Elm Street in Lumberton.
