Robeson County public schools students bring “Hairspray” to the stage

Public Schools of Robeson County students will perform the Broadway hit play “Hairspray” at 7 p.m. Friday and at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday. The performances will be at Lumberton Junior High School. -

LUMBERTON — “Hairspray” blows onto a Public Schools of Robeson County stage this weekend.

Thirty-three students in grades eight through 12 and from across the county will bring the Broadway hit to life at 7 p.m. Friday and at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday. The performances will be at Lumberton Junior High School. Admission is $5.

This is the first performance of the newly formed Center Stage Theatre Company’s production of the play set in the 1960s.
