A Lumberton police officer responded Tuesday to an alarm at Golden Spot on East 24th Street. The business had been broken into and $550 in cash and 12 cartoons of cigarettes, valued at $600, were stolen.
Ronald Campbell, of Earl Street in Lumberton, was arrested Tuesday at Linkhaw and Meadow roads for possession of a firearm by a felon and possession of a stolen firearm. A .40 caliber Glock pistol, valued at $400, was seized. Campbell was taken to the Robeson County Detention Center and placed under a $10,000 secured bond.
