LUMBERTON — The city’s newest funeral home intends to celebrate life.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held recently for Celebrations Of Life by Leggett-Patterson Funeral Home, located at 320-B E. 24th St. in Lumberton. The owner and operator is Sharon Leggett Patterson, a Lumberton native who also owns Patterson Memorial Funeral Home in Fayetteville.
She has dreamed of opening a funeral home in Lumberton for many years, Patterson said. She chose to name her funeral home Celebrations of Life because she believes every life should be celebrated.
“Celebrations of Life By Leggett Patterson is not only a life center/funeral home but an outreach resource center for the community,” Patterson said.
She plans to bring resources together to help the residents of Robeson County, Patterson said.
