PEMBROKE — A workshop scheduled for Wednesday will help area residents be better prepared to apply for a small-business loan.

The workshop, which is free and open to the public, will take place 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at The University of North Carolina at Pembroke’s Entrepreneurship Incubator at 202 Main St. in Pembroke.

The workshop is sponsored by the Carolina Small Business Development Fund. It is designed to assist participants with understanding the key components of applying for a small-business loan. Attendees will learn what is needed to apply for funding from a lending institution.
