GREENVILLE — A Lumberton High School graduate recently received the Dr. Mack and Margaret Coble Doctoral Fellowship at East Carolina University.

Gordon Burnette received the fellowship during ECU’s College of Education Scholarship Recipient & Donor Recognition Ceremony.

Burnette is a second-year doctoral student in the Higher Education Leadership program at ECU. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from North Carolina State University and a master’s degree in Higher Education Administration from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
