LUMBERTON — A Robeson County resident was inducted recently into the Beta Rho Theta Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa at Bladen Community College.
Jillian Hardin, majoring in nursing education, was inducted March 11. She is the daughter of Joy Lynn and James T. Byrd of Lumberton.
Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, headquartered in Jackson, Miss., is the largest honor society in higher education with 1,285 chapters on college campuses in all 50 states of the United States, and chapters around the world. More than 3 million students have been inducted since its founding in 1918, with about 134,000 students inducted annually.
