Hu, Revels win Pinecrest Shootout
Juneau Hu and J.D. Revels earned a two-shot victory over Willie Jacobs and Willie Oxendine in the championship flight of the Pinecrest Senior Shootout on Wednesday at Pinecrest Country Club.
Ray Locklear and Richard Moore won the first flight, edging out D.J. Jones and Jim Rogers by three strokes.
Diane and Bob Slahetka were the consolation flight winners, with Thorndyke and Locklear taking closest-to-the-pin honors.
The next Pinecrest Senior Shootout is planned for Thursday with a 10 a.m. shotgun start.
Carolina Golf Club hosting Holiday Scramble
Carolina Golf Club will play host to a Big Money Holiday Scramble on Dec. 8.
Entry for the two-person captain’s choice event is $100 per player and the field is limited to 25 teams. Deadline for enrtry is Dec. 1.
Food and beverages will be provided and a first-place finish will yield $1,000 if the field is full. Second place will take home $500.

Fairmont’s week in review
Marty Davenport shot his best career round, posting a 73 at Fairmont Golf Club.
David White also shot his best career round, shooting a 72.
Tommy Lowry and James Smith won Tuesday’s Senior Shootout. Knocky Thorndyke and Billy Bullock took second place. Mike Graham and Lee Hunt were the winners in the second flight, with Jerry Long and Bob Slahetka taking second place. Jason Lowry and Tom Jones were the third flight winners with Bob Benton and Tommy Newberry taking second place. Rick Rogers, James Smith, Tommy Dyson, and David Locklear were closest to the pin winners.
