FAIRMONT — The scholarship offers are starting to pile up for Fairmont wide receiver Jordan Waters.
With offers from Duke and Wake Forest already on the table, the Class of 2019 prospect announced via Twitter that East Carolina joined the mix on Thursday afternoon.
The 6-foot-1, 195-pound wide receiver, whose stock is rising coming off an impressive junior campaign with the Golden Tornadoes, is a two-time all-Three Rivers Conference performer. He finished with 976 yards on 75 catches with nine touchdowns this season and averaged 13 yards per catch.
Waters had four games with 100-plus receiving yards, including a season-high 130 yards on nine catches with a pair of touchdowns in a 42-38 loss to East Bladen.
Duke was the first to extend a scholarship offer to Waters in April. Wake Forest followed in July after Waters attended the Demon Deacons’ summer camp.
Georgia, North Carolina, N.C. State and Virginia Tech are also showing interest.
