CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Rodney Shepard posted a second-period pin of 10th-ranked Shane Ruhnke of Millersville in the fifth-place bout and the UNC Pembroke wrestling team placed among the nation’s top 25 teams for the 12th-straight season with a 15th-place finish at the NCAA Division II Championships on Saturday.

Freshman Nick Daggett and senior Eric Milks, who were among Saturday afternoon’s Parade of All-Americans inside the U.S. Cellular Center, both walked away from eastern Iowa with eighth-place finishes.

The Braves, who tallied the program’s first Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) championship earlier this month, racked up 19 team points and were tops among the four league teams represented at the event.
