McGirt finishes 69th, Na takes title at Greenbrier

WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W.Va. — Fairmont native William McGirt closed out his weekend at A Military Tribute at The Greenbrier with a round of 70 to finish in a tie for 69th.

He collected $14,454 and three FedEx Cup points with his finish, just the second time he has made the cut at the event.

In the final round, McGirt dropped a shot early on the second hole, before back-to-back birdies on Nos. 10 and 11. Entering the 72nd hole 2 under for the tournament on the 18th hole, he finished with a bogey on the par 3 to close out.

McGirt dropped three places on the FedEx Cup standings, to 120 following the tournament, and down to 193 in the Official World Golf Rankings.

He will tee it up this week at the John Deere Classic.

Kevin Na won the tournament after a final-round 64.
