LUMBERTON — Volunteers are needed for the Dixie Youth Baseball World Series that will take place at the Ray Pennington Athletic Complex from July 27 to Aug. 9.
The Dixie Youth World Series will bring more than 700 baseball players and their families to Lumberton. State champions from 11 states will compete in five divisions ranging from Coach and Machine Pitch for 7- and 8-year-olds, to three baseball divisions with players from 9 to 12 years old.
Volunteers will help with tasks such as running hospitality tents and working as public address announcers during the games.
