LAKE WACCAMAW — South Robeson football dropped its third straight game, falling 18-12 at East Columbus, in a Three Rivers Conference 1A matchup Wednesday night.

St. Pauls wipes out Whiteville

The St. Pauls soccer team won its third straight match on Wednesday, securing a 3-0 home win over Three Rivers Conference opponent Whiteville.

Aimar Ramos scored the Bulldogs’ (10-3, 7-3 TRC) first goal to give the team a 1-0 lead at the half. Alan Diaz kicked in two more goals within the first 10 minutes of the second half to make the score 3-0.

Alexis Mendez finished with two assists and Jonathan Flores chipped in with one assist.

The next match is scheduled for Saturday at Lumberton.

In other TRC action, Red Springs soccer went to West Bladen and lost 1-0.

From the Sandhills Athletic Conference, Lumberton volleyball lost 3-0 at Jack Britt.
