Fairmont’s week in review

Ronnie Chavis and Knocky Thorndyke won this week’s Fairmont senior shootout with a one-stroke victory over James Smith and Tommy Lowry. Ronnie Freeman and David Hunt won the second flight, with Ricky Baker coming in second. Mike Sellers won the third flight, with Monte Herring and W.C. Meares taking second. Baker, Craig Lowry were closest to the pin winners.

Pinecrest senior shootout results

Tiger Willie and Willie Oxendine shot a 64 to claim a three-stroke win in the Pinecrest senior shootout this week.

Knocky Thorndyke and Atlas Warwick finished second in the championship flight. The first flight winners were Bob Slahetka and Bobby Benton over James Humphrey and Tommy Belch by one stroke.

Benton and Al Wall were the closest to the pin winners. Wall claimed the prize after a hole-in-one on the par-3 10th hole that was playing 168 yards.

The next Pinecrest senior shootout will be Thursday, with a 10 a.m. shotgun start.
