LUMBERTON —The NCHSAA released the state playoff football bracket on Saturday afternoon with two Robeson County teams, St. Pauls and Fairmont, making the cut.

St. Pauls (8-3) will be the 11th-seed in the 2AA East region and make a trip to Burlington to play No. 6 seed Cummings (4-7) on Friday. The Bulldogs punctuated their postseason spot with a 53-6 win over South Robeson on Friday and ended the season with a three-game winning streak. The Cavaliers come into the matchup winning three of their last four, but were shutout in their last final contest.

In the 2A East region, Fairmont snuck in as the No. 16 seed and will travel to No. 1 seed Northeastern. The Golden Tornadoes (5-6) came on strong down the stretch, winning four of their last five games. Duke commit Jordan Waters has been on a tear during the run and is the front-runner for the Robeson County Heisman. Meanwhile, the Eagles were a perfect 10-0 and are led by senior quarterback Aaron Harris who has eclipsed 1,000 yards passing and rushing this season.
