ST. PAULS — A lopsided second quarter favoring the Bulldogs propelled the St. Pauls boys basketball team to a 63-31 home win over Midway in Southeastern Athletic Conference play Wednesday.

St. Pauls (10-5, 5-0 Southeastern) outscored Midway (6-9, 0-5 Southeastern) 27-4 in the second quarter, turning a 13-11 lead entering the period into a 40-15 advantage at halftime. The Bulldogs led 49-25 at the end of the third.

Cameron Revels scored 20 points and Jeyvian Tatam had 14 for St. Pauls.

Casey Culbreth led Midway with seven points.

Lady Bulldogs rout Raiders

The St. Pauls girls basketball team earned a 64-21 win over Midway Tuesday.

Jashontae Harris scored 20 points to lead St. Pauls (14-1, 5-0 Southeastern); Jakieya Thompson scored 14 points with 11 rebounds and eight steals; Tamyra Council had 11 points, 14 rebounds and six blocks; and AuNyah Teague scored 10 points with 10 rebounds and five steals.

Midway is 7-8 overall and 1-4 in Southeastern play.

St. Pauls plays Thursday at Clinton.

In other local action Wednesday, the Red Springs boys basketball team defeated Clinton 61-52.
