Fairmont Golf Course

J.D. Revels and Garner Revels took home first place in the championship flight of the Senior Shootout at Fairmont Golf Club last week.

The team of Wayne Beasley and Ricky Rogers finished as the runner-up in the championship flight. Harry Emanuel and Delton Burns won first place honors in the first flight, with Marlon Lowry and Alton Haggans finishing in second place.

The special contest winners were Al Wall, Revels, Burns and Tommy Dyson.

The next Senior Shootout will be held at Fairmont G.C. next Tuesday June 30, shotgun start 9:00. Call the pro shop at 910-628-9931 to register or for information.

Carolina Plantation Golf Club

As the Fourth of July holiday approaches, Carolina Plantation Golf Club is preparing for its two-man Texas scramble on Saturday.

The event is set to begin at 9:00 a.m. and will debut the new mini-verdi ultra dwarf greens at Carolina Plantation.

The cost is $30 per player with lunch included.

On July 11, the club will host the Clyde Hatcher Memorial Golf tournament to benefit Lumberton High School athletics.

The event is a four-man captain’s choice with a 9:00 a.m. start.

The cost is $60 per player.

The club hosts a tw0-man shootout every Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. for $20.00, that includes free lunch. All ages are welcome.

T twilight scramble is played every Thursday at 5:45 p.m. with teams drawn from a hat each week.
