Red Springs’ DeOndre Hallman and Amire West will reunite with Ron Alexander at St. Andrews University this fall as the latest players to join the Knights’ football program.
Red Springs coach Ron Cook said the duo signed with the school on Monday. Alexander signed with the Knights in May.
Hallman and West were all-county and all-conference performers in their senior campaign with the Red Devils. Hallman, an all-purpose player, finished with four touchdowns as a receiver and running back. He was also one of the team’s best defenders with 29 tackles, including seven tackles for loss.
West finished his senior season as the top wide receiver for the Red Devils with a team-best 21 receptions, 432 yards and seven touchdowns.
In 2017, St. Andrews will field its first football team since the 1950s.
