LUMBERTON — Lumberton police have identified the suspect in a shooting death of a woman last week.

Capt. Terry Parker said Jasmine Charnelle McLaurin, 27, is charged with first-degree murder in the death of Jamia Lashy Hill. McLaurin, who is 5 feet, 2 inches tall and weighs about 200 pounds, has an address of Saint Johns’ Circle in Lumberton.

Anyone who knows her whereabouts should call the Lumberton Police Department at 910-671-3845. Callers do not have to identify themselves.

Hill, of Swan Drive in Lumberton, was shot to death at about 10 p.m. on June 10 on East 10th Street in Lumberton. Her body was found in the car she was driving, which was stopped near a stop light.
